For the Groom

For our wedding we didnt feel like a tuxe fit our location nor my hubby's taste. So we came up with our own interpretation. Tuxes are no longer the go to for a stylish groom, even if your wedding is more on the traditional side- it doesnt mean your groom needs to be stuffy or out of pocket a lot of cash for a one time suit. Here are a few ideas to hopefully inspire you and your man to find your own style and also save that extra cash ( put it towards a special honeymoon dinner!)
Enjoy! Get creative!

Cute Idea Saturday

Okay just wanted to share quick post today cause me and the hubby are about to brave the 20 degree weather to go ice skating! I just love this picture idea from leweddingparty ( a blog between a bride-to-be and her MOH, great idea!)

Enjoy. Get creative.

Marci + Redge

Jan at 10secbride is all about DIY weddings and since i've featured a lot of muted color schemes I thought it was about time to bring in some color. Maybe itll encourage spring to come along too? Check out this gorgeous couple's bright and wonderful tree inspired DIY wedding.

I love the streamers and bright but complimenting colors of the flowers.

What a great "take home" gift: fruit from the tree.

These vintage bottles and vases are so cute and compliment this theme without overdoing it, look for them at your local Goodwill or other thrift store. Yard sales are also a great place to look.

Arent they such a great looking pair? I love her bib necklace and cardigan!

A great money saving way to incorporate this idea is to buy carnations ( the cheapest flower) and cut them short so just the petals stick out of the vases. They look full that way.

Isnt this little flowergirl's hair piece so adorable? Perfectly suiting.

Watching the movie at the end of the night.. great way to entertain the stragglers. :)

Well done Marci and Redge! I am completely inspired by your hard work!

Backyard Bliss

I love a good backyard wedding but this one is by far a favorite of mine! What a gorgeous display!

Giant trees have such a natural whimsical touch, dont you think?

I love the wildflower bouquets and soft lace gloves!

This sign is such a cute idea for the bridal walk entrance to help steer guests away from the runner.

Favorite flower girl outfits!

This reminds me alot of the Weiden wedding I helped with. Wildflowers and mason jars with frames as table numbers are a cheap, quick, and adorable way to make centerpieces.

I also love the long swedish style seating, its like all the guests are one big family.

Homemade Charm: Hannah & Anthony

All of the things in this wedding are things that I love. From the homemade centerpiees from Hannah's family farm to the photobooth by Magnolia Photo Co. I am so in love with this wedding. Get inspired. Make your own. Enjoy their handiwork.

The world needs more stache, and more couples like this.

How adorable are her pompom heels?

If the cuteness wasn't enough she also has a kick-butt brooch bouquet! Collect your own brooches at thrift stores and ask you aunties and granmoms for theirs to borrow.

All the wood you see here was from Hannah's family farm and Anthony repurposed it. Well done kids. Well done.

A great story on this cake topper! Hannah's sister and mom helped with the tiny clothes and matching banner and Anthony made the stache and glasses. I love it when everyone pitches in! It makes such great memories and such adorable details!

The 600 oragami birds were created by Hannah's mom, a very good skill to have handy!

Even the napkins are cute!

As always, one of the biggest hits at this wedding was their beautiful photobooth by MagBooth, everyone had a blast and got to go home with their own memory. Hannah later had all the pics put into a book for her own keepsake.

Love this moment that was caught- second pair of shoes is an important detail!

I feel like a proud mother watching her kids put on a fantastic-ly homespun wedding! Well done! I wish you all the happiest moments together!
